Top programs in Education

While there is such a large selection of host universities to choose from when looking for courses that fall within Education majors/minors, there are a few that stand out for both academic excellence and for the breadth of courses available. Generally, we look for academic offerings in the following areas: Early Childhood Education, Elementary/Primary, Outdoor/Physical, Secondary, Special Education, and of course General Education.

In addition to taking courses towards their degree, future teachers can also gain hands-on experience through a customized education internship placement.

Top semester programs for Education

The great thing about our semester programs that are well-suited to Education students is that many of these universities offer such a diverse selection of classes and areas of focus in this field. Here are a few of the top options with the widest range of subjects:

University of Newcastle is a high-ranking, world class institution located in a stunning and relatively small city on the coast. Students in Education have at their fingertips a selection of courses in just about every core area of the field, including classes in Early Childhood Education, Elementary/Primary, Secondary, General Education, Outdoor/Physical Education, and Special Education.

University of Roehampton is every Harry Potter fan’s dream school– a friendly, cozy campus tucked away in southwest London. With the “Growhampton” sustainability program, the campus is a lively, eco-friendly, and stimulating environment to socialize and learn in. This program has a great selection of courses for students interested more specifically in Early Childhood and Elementary/Primary Education, as well as General Education.

Florence University of the Arts offers a rich and engaging study abroad experience. With the benefit of smaller class sizes, FUA is dedicated to experiential and hands-on learning for students. Though this school’s selection of courses may not be as broad as some of the others’, FUA does offer a variety of courses in General Education, as well as a unique abroad experience in a non-English-speaking country, and affords students in Education the firsthand experience of a more collaborative and creative classroom environment.

Top summer programs for Education

Education majors tend to have a more difficult time finding courses towards their degree during the summer, partly to do with the fact that some of the more hands-on classroom experiences are not possible when lower level education is not in session. However, it is still possible for an Education major/minor to knock out some credits along with taking some stellar electives or general requirements courses over the summer months. Here are a few of our top summer programs to check out:
