Top 5 Unmissable Things to Do in Sorrento, Italy

Living in Sorrento was awesome - here are the 5 things I wish I had known about earlier:

Sunset at Villa Comunale Park

Almost every evening we watched the sunset over the Bay of Naples. Locals gather with gelato, musicians play in the background, and the view of Mount Vesuvius was unreal. it never got old.

Take the Walk Down to Marina Grande

This hidden fishing village has colorful boats, seafood restaurants right on the water, and the best spaghetti alle vongole I’ve ever had. It’s quieter than the main square and feels like stepping back in time. This is where we took a boat to Capri and a tour to the Amalfi Coast.

Day Trip to Capri

From the harbor, we took  the morning ferry to Capri, which is about 30 minutes away. With my friends and my brother Shane, I enjoyed being on the boat and sailing around the island, stopping to swim in hidden coves and some top the Grottos. Far better then to just doing a tourist tour.

Hike the Path of the Gods

It’s a short train and bus away, but 100% worth it. The views of the Amalfi Coast from the trail are fantastic. Bring good shoes, water, and a camera. it was one of my favorite adventure day.

Bagni Delfino Seafood Dinner

This hidden Seafood restaurant had best seafood I’ve ever had. Sitting by the water as the boats came in felt straight out of a movie. I had this seafood pasta which included shrimp, mussels, and clams.
