Why are you excited to work for CIS Abroad?

I am excited to work with CIS Abroad because it is a company whose values and mission aligns with my own. I am a people person and love to travel so getting the opportunity to connect with students and help them through their study abroad journey is a perfect mix of my passions. CIS also values sustainability and work/life satisfaction which are important to me.

Describe a memorable moment from abroad

My favorite memory from abroad is having a wine + aperitivo picnic with all my best girlfriends at Marina Grande in Sorrento, Itay then paddleboarding to Regina Giovanna during sunset. Once we arrived, we cliff-jumped as the sun went down, told stories and listened to all of our favorite songs.

What has your career path looked like? How did you end up in the field of International Education?

I graduated in 2023 from Lake Forest College with my B.A. in Neuroscience and Psychology. Throughout college, I gained a lot of healthcare experience as well as leadership experiences through Varsity Soccer, Dance Team and the Neuroscience Club. I studied abroad in the summer of 2022 through CIS Abroad + then became an alumni ambassador. Post graduation, I planned to pursue a gap year to explore potential careers, travel and gain work experience. Once I found out CIS Abroad was hiring, I immediately applied and not long after, all the pieces fell into place :)

A typical weekend for me is…

-Football games and dance on Saturdays

-Concerts or a night out on the city (Chicago) with my best friends/boyfriend

-Chill Sundays intended for cleaning, meal prep, movies + reading

5 words that describe yourself

-ambitious

-empath

-creative

-stubborn

-people lover

Travel Tip:

Always find a reason to talk to a local or someone you may not know. Whether it's a simple hello, compliment, or question, there is always something to learn from every person you meet.
