I'm excited to work for CIS Abroad because it aligns perfectly with my passion for international education and cultural exchange. I believe in the transformative power of study abroad experiences, and I'm thrilled to join a team that shares that vision. CIS Abroad's commitment to diversity, growth, and creating meaningful, global opportunities for students and education abroad offices resonates deeply with me, and I’m eager to contribute my skills to help customers broaden their horizons and make a positive impact on the world.
One unforgettable experience from my time abroad happened during a series of partner visits in Asia. I missed a flight from Seoul to Taipei, which set off a chain reaction of missed connections, including my return flight to the U.S. It was an opportunity to be adaptable and creative, remain flexible in a stressful situation, and feel confident that there’s always a way. I managed to adjust my itinerary without disrupting my meetings with partners and, most importantly, found a way to get back home.
While pursuing my master’s degree at Missouri State University in 2012, I began working with the International Programs Office, assisting international students who were either pursuing a degree or learning English. This experience ignited my passion for the field of International Education and Cultural Exchange, leading me to join the office as a full-time employee after graduation. In 2021, I had the incredible opportunity to serve as the Advisor in the Education Abroad office, which allowed me to explore the other side of the field and deepened my commitment to this work and field.
Taking long walks or hikes, playing tennis, catching up with friends, going to the movies, or sometimes just relaxing at home and recharging my batteries.
